The company started in 2003 with two employees working from the basement of a South Minneapolis home. The business took off and the number of employees grew, which meant moving in 2008 to the company’s own building on 33rd Avenue South in Minneapolis. Again, business boomed and expanded, and in 2011, the company moved to its current location in Fridley, Minnesota. It also changed its name to Mill City TEC, Inc., to reflect the wide variety of services provided.
In 2014, Mill City TEC was purchased by Aero Communications, Inc and renamed Mill City Communications. See the press release below:
Mill City Communications makes what matters, and it matters that we make it well. We build and maintain Critical Infrastructure — cell towers and fueling stations, for example — that we all depend on and that contribute to a fully functioning society. Mill City's growth is based on our insistence on building beyond expectations. We build it right, and safety is our signature on every project. We’re keen on Win-Win-Win relationships because it creates a robust bond among our employees, our long-term business partners and our company.
We do what we promise, which is the foundation of building trust and long-term relationships with customers and employees.
We do what we promise, which marks a commitment to the bedrock of the communities we serve nationwide.
We do what we promise, which creates a culture of peer accountability and continued improvement.
We do what we promise, which sounds simple. It’s not, but it’s the only way to do business.
